Mid Year Merch Drop

from $80.00

Item:

Surprise mid year merch drop! aka a Mini Spring Fundraiser.

Big things are happening y’all. We are in our tenth year of being ACZC and in just a few weeks some of us are heading back to Japan where Dave will be doing Zuise, the final capstone on all the years of training we’ve put in to get him licensed as our official teacher, which is really us as a sangha getting certified as a fully recognized Zen Center. Which we are very proud and thrilled to be able to say that despite anything else we may have said over the years, we are super grateful to the institution for wanting to include us as we are.

But! That also means there are flights and temple donations to pay for, hence the mid year merch drop.

- We’ve got a limited edition one off T Shirt, sporting a classic Big Lebowski Kanji joke for you complete with a Buddha Bowl logo. Hand silkscreened in house by your ACZC crew.

- We’ve got a fresh hand-bound book of poetry with limited edition letterpress cover from our resident poet Matthew Sherling in a first for our fledgling ACZC press.

- We’ve also got a new zine! (Which may have become a full on book… (hand-bound with limited edition letterpress cover)) with a fresh translation of Dogen’s timeless Time Being, and commentary and pieces by Dave, Sara, and the whole ACZC crew.

- Also Dave has a new album of music coming out, (which we know is not really a sellable thing in 2026, but we’re counting it as his contribution along) with a limited edition letterpress poster of the album art.

(And yes, ACZC is the proud owner of a new letterpress machine which we are very excited to get to put to use for all living beings this season)

And then! We’re going to have a book launch and album release party here at the center to cap this whole thing off the night before we leave for Japan on Saturday, May 23rd at 7pm, and we would be delighted if you wanted to come celebrate with us.

ACZC is a 100% small donor funded center and we continue to operate on a pay what you can, no one turned away basis. As always, we are incredibly grateful for all the ways you make that possible. As you probably know, we lose money every month, and for some reason the rent never gets any cheaper. Your support in our periodic fundraisers are the only way we’re able to keep going.

We are a registered 501c3, so all donations are tax deductible.
